Hammersmith and Fulham
Location: Nella road, SW6
Project Type: Residential
This 1930s property in Hammersmith has been transformed into a sophisticated home tailored to our client’s lifestyle.
Our client recently bought this three-and-a-half-bedroom home. Despite a recent renovation, they felt the changes did not meet their needs. First, we added a generous kitchen/diner extension with three sky windows, while keeping a separate front room.
The first floor included two large double bedrooms, a small home office, and a family bathroom, with a loft extension for an ensuite guest bedroom. Moreover, our client hired Cato Creative for the design and Dominant Construction for the renovation. They wanted to keep the kitchen/diner separate but have the option to open it to the front room. We used Crittall-style walls to allow flexibility and maximise natural light.
Furthermore, we installed a modern kitchen with a stunning waterfall island, flanked by bespoke shelving and cabinetry for books and kitchen equipment. Between the kitchen and the front room, we added a dining area that benefits from natural light from sky windows and the Crittall-encased front room. The front room is bright and open, blending period details like the fireplace with modern touches, such as contemporary lighting and glass walls.
