ROSEDEW ROAD
HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
This wonderful property had charm aplenty but unfortunately did not afford its young owners with the necessary floor space they needed. Their kitchen was too small and their front room did not provide them with an entertainment space that worked for this growing family. In addition, while charming, the property was beginning to show signs of aging. Our client wanted to create a space that reflected their sophisticated personal style and that would provide them with an area that was as practical as it was elegant.

Our team helped them create a spacious and bright open plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and entertainment areas while retaining a sense of having individual rooms. New wooden floors were introduced throughout the ground floor renovation and beautiful bespoke cabinets were installed. A sophisticated lighting scheme was put in place allowing them to control mood and function through a clever combination of recessed lighting and spotlights.

An elegant kitchen with a handsome waterfall island provides this family with plenty of space to cook and entertain. Their customised kitchen cabinets serve a dual purpose – storage and as a cocktail bar. The kitchen island is also a breakfast counter and the space is made incredibly bright thanks to three oversized skylights.

In the main room, two fireplaces combine different materials to create an elegant and contemporary interpretation of this traditional feature. A niche above the fireplace towards the front of the property houses a large television and the whole of the ground floor has been equipped with a beautifully discrete integrated sounds system.

To finish off this ingenious space, pocket doors have been installed to maximise the area usage and a very sleek storage solution has been created under the stairs. A boldly designed powder room with contemporary touches finishes off this very interesting project which was an absolute delight to work on.
