Fulham Palace Road had good bones — a proper period home in one of Southwest London's most sought-after streets. But it needed serious work. The owners came to us with big ambitions: a rear and side extension, a complete ground floor transformation, and a full refurbishment throughout. No half measures. This is exactly the kind of project Dominant Construction was built for — complex, structural, and demanding the kind of craftsmanship that turns a tired SW6 property into something genuinely special. Done right, a project like this doesn't just improve how you live in your home. It adds serious value to it.We started from the ground up — literally. Pad foundations were dug and built for the steel columns, a new 43m² ground floor slab was laid, and the rear and side extensions were constructed from
DPC upwards, including a pitched roof to the side and flat roof superstructure to the rear. Inside, walls came down, steels went in, and the ground floor opened up into a proper open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space — the kind West London homeowners actually want to live in. The kitchen itself got underfloor heating, full drainage tied into the main stack, and a complete cabinet and appliance fit-out. We laid herringbone parquet flooring throughout, replastered the living room, hallway, bedroom and ensuite, rewired the electrical layout across every room, added radiators to the kitchen and lounge, and finished the whole house with fresh paint top to bottom. A complete house extension and renovation in Fulham, SW6 — delivered by our own team, not subcontracted out.
